Business Manager 

Location: Moose Lake, MN

Anticipated start date: 4/1/2023 (flexible)

Salary: Dependent on experience

 

  • Manage overall structure of the business and daily operations
  • Completed business scheduling for employees to ensure all needs are met and schedules are cost effective
  • Assist with covering shifts at the store when possible
  • Attend events when required that may be outside standard business hours
  • Manage wholesale accounts including cost comparisons, contacts, and contracts for products
  • Ensure products in the store are appropriately priced and manage POS system
  • Order all merchandise for the store and ensure supplies are within cost margins and up to date with trends and needs ( clothing, food, Northwoods merc, outdoor supplies, outdoors items)
  • Ensure the store is clean, well presented, and welcoming to customers
  • Ensure the retail store meets all state & federal guidelines for products sold
  • Recruit, train, and coach staff as needed
  • Manage employee files and appropriate documents & records
  • Complete business daily financial needs including – deposits, change from bank, and submitting required financial information to accounting
  • Manage business strategies for appropriate monitoring of business merchandise and assets to protect from misuse
  • Manage business communications including: Phone, email, and social media
  • Work with business marketing director to produce advertising materials including: sales, new merchandise announcements, holiday announcements, and ongoing advertising
  • Work with business marketing specialist to update business website and online store as needed
  • Assist with managing agency social media accounts with frequent interactions
  • Attend local community and promotional events. Complete business registration when required for attendance
  • Check business mail daily and forward to appropriate individuals.
  • Manage business budgets, cost reporting, and financial strategies
  • Review employee timesheets & expense records. Submit to accounting weekly

Rental Specific:

  • Assist with managing business booking schedules of rental equipment.
  • Assist with check-out and check-in for rental equipment
  • Assist with strategic planning of equipment placement to ensure maximum rental opportunities
  • Ensure we have a appropriate stock of standard parts & supplies to make repairs to equipment
  • Assist with repairs, washing, and basic maintenance of equipment
  • Assist with delivery and pick up of equipment
  • Develop and maintain relationships with ongoing service contracts for rental equipment.
  • Assist with management of Fair Harbor & Polaris directed programs
  • Report all required information to accounting and business owners for Polaris reporting & billing
  • Assist with seasonal equipment ordering and fleet management

Accounting:

  • Complete business payroll
  • Complete QuickBooks journal entries
  • Reconcile bank statements monthly
  • Provide monthly financial statements to owners & managers
  • Report sales tax monthly
  • Manage agency financial records appropriately
  • Ensure all business accounting and financial records are accurate, updated timely, and meeting state and federal guidelines

Weekend Store Associate

Location: Moose Lake, MN

Anticipated start date: 6/8/2024

Work Every Weekend – fill in occasionally during week. 

  • Ensure products in the store are appropriately priced and manage POS system
